Mark Andreasen's Profile and Contact Information
Profile
I was born and raised in Cleveland Idaho, on Treasureton summit between Preston and Grace. I graduated in Finance from Utah State University. I married Karen King, from Grace Idaho and have two children, Zac and Lindsay. I returned to the family farm upon graduating from USU and continue to farm, raising wheat and barley. I entered the insurance industry as an agent in 1983, initially working for Farm Bureau Insurance, and later for Mutual Insurance in Pocatello. In 1985, as an independent agent, I opened an insurance office in Grace. A year later I purchased the Whitehead Insurance Agency (which had its roots in the First National Bank of Grace, dating back to 1917) located in Soda Springs. The name was then changed to Mountain States Insurance Group Inc.
Initially the industry accommodated an agent that could sell and service all lines of insurance. As the years have gone by, the products have become more complex and demanding. I find that most of my time currently is focused on management responsibilities along with the sales and servicing of agriculturally related insurance products, i.e. farm and ranch property and casualty insurance, and crop insurance. I enjoy the challenges and rewards of the insurance industry and appreciate the associations that have developed over the years with clients and companies.
